The Fatea Showcase Sessions are designed to provide greater exposure to artists that have impressed the Fatea team. Some are already signed, others are carving a solo trail, releasing songs on their own labels, all are dedicated to their music

Fatea Showcase Sessions are exclusively available for a three month period after which they will never be available again. The Fatea Showcase Sessions are zip files containing high quality, 256kbs, drm free, mp3s.

"Whilst the songs on The Fatea Showcase Sessions come to you, the listener at no charge, they are not free. The writers/performers have put money, time and effort into creating the songs on this compilation for your enjoyment. We hope that you take the time to visit the websites of the artists included here and consider purchasing their music. Fatea hopes that this compilation gives you a taste for folk and roots orientated music and that you will seek out the works of the artists included in this compilation and in the wider music community."

"Explore" is dedicated to all acts from solo artists, through duos to bands. Each act has their own style and we hope you'll appreciate each of their efforts. The Fatea Showcase Sessions are designed so not all of the acts come from the same genre. "Explore" is available from May 1st to July 31st.

Greenshine is a family trio comprising Noel Shine, Mary Greene and their daughter Ellie. Their material straddles the boundaries of contemporary, folk and roots and includes many self-penned songs. Their fast picking and close harmonies are a treat to the ear.

The Jamestown Brothers are an 8-piece band from Somerset. We play original songs influenced by folk, country and blues, with lyrics that mine the rich history and social tapestry of Great Britain and Ireland. the band creates a full sound with intricate instrumental interplay.

Nick Cope - Have You Heard About Hugh ?
Nick Cope was the singer and songwriter with The Candyskins in the 1990s.He now writes and performs music for children and their families and has established a fanatical army of little people and their parents from all over the world. This is a track of his 6th Album and features the vocals and Viola of the amazing Jackie Oates . Nick performs all over the UK at theatres and art centres and at many of the established art, music and literary festivals.

Rachel Croft - Hot Rain
Based in York UK, Rachel Croft is an independent musician and songwriter, combining rich, complex vocals over rhythmic fingerpicked guitar. Her songs are often inspired by Celtic melodies and the thoughtful lyrics of the likes of Joni Mitchell, Sandy Denny and Matt Corby, which narrate her experiences living in this historic city.

The Borders - Strangers Lost In Time
