Fatea Showcase Sessions are exclusively available for a three month period after which they will never be available again. The Fatea Showcase Sessions are zip files containing high quality, 256kbs, drm free, mp3s.

"Listen" is dedicated to all acts from solo artists, through duos to bands. Each act has their own style and we hope you'll appreciate each of their efforts. Kirsty is a singer from Grimsby, Lincolnshire, who has a love of traditional folk songs collected in her native county. Kirsty has performed at local festivals and been a guest at the Whitby Folk Week.
ifnotnow - You Say
ifnotnow began last year when Lena started playing guitar and singing again after rediscovering her teenage love for Emmylou Harris' music. Winton brought the mics, years of band experience and together they've now released their debut self titled EP.
The Marsh Family - My Storybook
The Marsh Family shot to worldwide fame after uploading pandemic parody songs that went viral in 2020 with their unique mix of humour, heart, and hope. The family of six, from Kent in the UK, are versatile, earthy, and independent.
Chiara Berardelli - Deep Space Hibernation
Chiara Berardelli grew up in the Highlands of Scotland on a diet of classical piano and Radio 1's Sunday Night Top 40. Her songs are an affecting coming together of her piano-led love of harmony and her unapologetically honest lyrics.
Page Of Swords - Well, Well
Page of Swords is the latest project from Reading and Oxford's Ian Mitchell (formally of Little Red and Master of None). Over the course of the pandemic, Ian went back to his folk roots and crafted a set of quiet, intimate and haunting songs.
Pedair - Iaith
Since the release of their first recordings during the lockdown period in 2020, the singing of Pedair captured the imagination and hearts of audiences, and their sweeping harmonies, their skilled handling of tradition and the intimacy of the songs became a source of hope.
Maddie Morris - Philomela
Maddie Morris is an artist who strives to make a difference in the world. Bold, insightful and refreshingly unique, she takes traditional song in new directions to shine a light on contemporary issues. Passionately political, yet gently understated.
Hushman - She Climbs Munros
Liverpool born 'Anglo-Celt', grew up in Wales, studied at Paul McCartney's LIPA and is now resident in the Scottish Highlands. Singer - songwriter, instrumentalist and music producer, Hushman (AKA Ewan MacPherson) is a well respected figure on the UK folk scene.
Su-a Lee - Lundgren
Su-a Lee is one of Scotland's most versatile, adventurous and charismatic cellists - she's worked with icons Eric Clapton and Peter Erskine (Weather Report). She works extensively in the UK classical and folk music scenes.
The Gillies - Storm
Music for your graveside" Sparse steel strung and tenor guitars create a rich but harsh and bitter sound. The dark, fragile musical style of South East London folk/Americana duo The Gillies reflect on life, love, loss and the moments that confirm our existence.
Barney Kenny - The Shoemaker
Barney Kenny is quickly carving out a name for himself as a solo artist . Armed with a 6 string and a Lapsteel slide guitar, Kenny's music doesn't fall into the normal trappings of 'folk'. Influenced by world music, blues and rock, he blends storytelling and acoustic music.
Catriona Price - Hert
Scottish fiddle player and composer Catriona Price is half of the contemporary duo Twelfth Day, a member of the folk band Fara, and co-artistic director of the boundary-pushing string ensemble Thirteen North. Her debut solo album Hert has just been released.
Mist & Wing - Country Mile
Ian & Grace Murray make up the Scottish duo Mist & Wing, they make music that welcomes you in. Think indie folk with hints of country: "If you mixed Angus & Julia Stone with The Jayhawks and The Chicks, this is what you'd get."
Freda Leask - Another Coat Of Black
Freda Leask is a singer/songwriter from the Shetland Islands. Her work varies from folk songs inspired by the Shetland environment, history and dialect, to compositions with a more rootsy, americana style, drawing influence from authentic country, folk and gospel.
Sarah Jane Rimmer - Parrot Club
Sarah Jane Rimmer has a love for the story in songs, holding the listener's ear with tales of light and shadow in human relationships. The Parrot Club, featured on the BBC Introducing Mixtape, is the title track from her debut solo EP.
Serious Sam Barrett - The Waggoner
Serious Sam Barrett is a hard touring, folk and country singer from Yorkshire. Playing honest, heartfelt self penned and traditional songs on 12 string guitar and banjo playing Appalachian folk, and southern blues, yet sound emphatically English.
