Fatea Showcase Sessions are exclusively available for a three month period after which they will never be available again. The Fatea Showcase Sessions are zip files containing high quality, 256kbs, drm free, mp3s.

"Strings" is dedicated to all acts from solo artists, through duos to bands. Each act has their own style and we hope you'll appreciate each of their efforts. The Fatea Showcase Sessions are designed so not all of the acts come from the same genre. "Strings" is available from February 1st to April 30th.

This alt-folk duo is formed of multi-instrumentalists David Hoyland and Leonardo MacKenzie. Their experimental acoustic sound focuses on cello, mandolin and violin layered with vocal harmonies. Their songs are inspired by folklore and the human element of mythology, drawing on narrative influences ranging from Norse myths to the writings of Neil Gaiman, Joseph Campbell and Carl Jung.

Elaine is building a solid fan-base for her own music and a reputation for working with high calibre artists, both in the writing room and on stage, linking her unique blend of old and new with her distinctive vocal and style.

Folk/Americana duo Hope In High Water have established themselves as one of the hardest working acts on the scene, sharing the stage with many of the genre's most prominent stars, such as Justin Townes Earle, Nikki Lane and Willie Watson.

Jeremy Tuplin, a Somerset-raised musician is a singer-songwriter in the very essence of the term, incorporating intricate lyricism and storytelling within a soundscape ranging from indie to psychedelic space-folk. 2019 saw him release "Pink Mirror" to wide acclaim

Queensland duo Sadie & Jay perform beautifully crafted modern folk songs playing intricate finger style guitar and double bass. Their third release, 'A Passing of Seasons,' is a work of Australian contemporary art bursting with colour, texture and spirited characters.

Scottish/Welsh harpist, Gwen Mairi, brings together virtuosity, sensitivity, unique vocals and a winning combination of instruments in her debut solo album, Mentro (to venture). She weaves an intricate web of old and new with her traditionally influenced, contemporary style.

Tennessee Twin are an acoustic modern country duo from Cambridge, UK. Their songs blend memorable melodies, gritty yet thoughtful lyrics and delicious harmonies and have won them a no.1 selling EP and multiple awards in the country Music scene.

Originally a traditional Gaelic singer and bagpipe player from Sutherland in the North Coast of Scotland. She is a past recipient of the Scottish Burns Award for songwriting Her debut album 'The Möbius Kiss', released in late 2019 gaining critical acclaim and extensive airplay.

Awkward Family Portraits have been dishing out rockin’ roots music to the streets of Glasgow since 2016. With a roguish charm and signature style that elevates them far above the dusty stereotypes of the genre, AFP are a band that have one central goal and that is to get you to abandon all of the outside world's hang-ups and move.

Marisa, Jack and Davy are a Bedford-based trio that formed in 2015. Following an encouraging floor spot at a Stick in The Wheel folk night, they decided that they would explore British folk music further. Marisa, Jack & Davy's debut EP Bring Us In presents an eerie and melancholic take on the British folk tradition.

Songs with straight-up lyrics, pounding bass lines, lilting mandolin and fiddle melodies and stomping beats, Man The Lifeboats have cultivated a sound that would not be out of place at a party at the end of the world.
