Wander - Artists
Serious Sam Barrett - Where The White Roses Grow
Sam plays a mixture of traditional and original material but his recorded output has mainly focussed on his own compositions especially in his later works. His style builds on folk music from the British Isles and USA.
Julu Irvine & Heg Brignall - As I Roved Out
Combining storytelling, folklore and exquisite vocal harmonies, Julu Irvine & Heg Brignall fuse their spell-binding sounds to create this new duo. Their songs follow themes of love and loss; dreams and reflections and struggle and triumph against all odds.
The Lost Sound Folk Choir - Circle March
The name 'The Lost Sound' relates to the quality of singing that is archaic and deep in our ancestry - the one that rings out and touches the listener, regardless of the style of the music. It's the sound that sings the singer! It is a quality of pure, full-bodied, committed singing, that used to be a part of every one and in every community.*
Stepling - Allen Water
Stepling is a unique band blurring the boundaries between music and dance with an original blend of music, step dance, and song inspired by English traditions. They combine traditional and new material, from high-energy competition clog to carefully crafted instrumentals/songs.
Antoine & Owena - The Pedlar And The Witch
Inspired by traditional and contemporary folk music, Antoine & Owena create their own original blend of folk music that provides a feast for the ears, the heart and the feet. This duo of multi-instrumentalists delivers an eclectic mix of songs and tunes which both enthuse and entertain.
Freya Ward - I Followed A Bird
Freya Ward is a folk singer-songwriter from Devon, who has received BBC airplay for her debut EP "By the Sea". Branded 'an authentic work of truth and beauty' (Americana UK), it combines haunting lyrics with delicate melodies and instrumentals.
Farsan - Pronn An Caoran (Smash The Ember)
Farsan is a four-piece trad band uniting song, dance and instrumental music in celebration of the Gaelic traditions of Scotland and Cape Breton. Their unique blend of fiddle, pipes, whistles, piano and accordion, with percussive step dance and puirt-à-beul, brings a vibrant energy to every performance.
Susie Ro - Creatures Of The Deep
Susie's uplifting heart songs and soulful, original medicine music seems to inspire a sense of joy where ever she goes. Susie tours internationally with her harmony singing workshops and beautiful songs on guitar, connecting with the global light family, and ancient traditions of the world, and weaving what she learns into a stream of free-flowing music to awaken the heart.
Hickory Signals - Rosemary
Multi-instrumentalists Laura Ward and Adam Ronchetti, a.k.a. Hickory Signals, are a folk duo from Brighton. The duo's sound is based around Ward's powerful leading vocal and Ronchetti's vibrant acoustic guitar and pulsing cajon to which they add flute, percussion and shruti drones, building each song to rousing effect. Their set combines re-interpretations of traditional folk songs with original, self-penned material.
Sinnober - Angels Of Fire And Snow
SINNOBER is the mercurial jazz-folk-rock fusionist creation of multi-instrumentalist song writers Sebastian & Natalie Brice. Their 2015 eponymous debut LP was swiftly followed up by 2016's Little Wars and the duo soon began to grace the UK's most essential playlists - including BBC Radio 6 Music - whilst cutting a swathe of passionate reviews in the process of national touring
Catty Pearson - Electricity
Catty Pearson, who is often compared to Norah Jones, has her her musical roots planted in folk, country and blues and her head set on unravelling some of the confusion she feels in today's world. Electricity is the first track on her debut EP Time Tells Me, recorded by Chris Kimsey who is best known for his work producing the Rolling Stones at legendary Olympic Sound Studios.
Young Waters - Eternal Bliss
Haunting harmonies led by Theo Passingham and Kerry Smith, surrounded by beautifully intricate arrangements of overlapping strings which merge folk, classical and indie seamlessly all combined with an excellent stage presence and enchanting sets.
Anna Hester - Watch The Clock
Anna Hester moves 'effortlessly between genres, but always with an emotional core' (Cambridge Music Reviews). Her debut EP 'In The Meantime', released in 2014, received praise from Fatea ('a very powerful and confident voice that positively booms out songs').
Em Marshall - Rosemary Lane
Em Marshall is a singer-songwriter living on the edge of Dartmoor. She performs material inspired by a broad narrative - from early life in the Midlands to years in trucks and caravans, busking and travelling throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.
John Reed & The Folded Arms - Rats
John witnessed the transformation from prog rock to punk in 1976. He has just released a double album of protest songs (The Breeding Ground of Vile) with backing band The Folded Arms. It's a confident artist that delivers a double these days, enjoy it.
Waterside - On The Floor
Waterside are a four piece alternative band formed in February 2018 whilst all studying on a variety of pathways at Leeds College of Music, the band comprises of: Iona Lane on electric guitar and vocals; Florence Rutherfoord-Jones on electric violin and vocals; Luke Bryan on bass; and Jonny Lodder on drums.
